I Was Encouraged to Ask Dora

A few months ago I heard about all the favors that Dora del Hoyo has been doing for people. I looked into who she was and read about her life. I subscribed to the official website for her cause for canonization and was sent more information.

A few months ago I heard about all the favors that Dora del Hoyo has been doing for people. I looked into who she was and read about her life. I subscribed to the official website for her cause for canonization and was sent more information.

I was very reluctant to pray to her and to ask her for favors, even though each time that I read the testimonies I thought that she could help me. I had this attitude for a few months, and during that time my family started experiencing financial difficulties. Most recently I applied for a bank loan and started praying to Dora.

It was a complicated business and things weren’t looking good, but I continued to pray. I was asking a lot: for the loan but also, if I couldn’t get the credit, that she help me in some other way. We didn’t hear from the bank, the days kept passing, and every day the deadline from the debt collectors got closer and the financial demands to keep our home running became more urgent.

During the time that I was applying for the loan I had also applied to replace a credit card which I had lost. Yesterday the new card arrived, identical to the last one except, for no apparent reason other than that Dora was helping me, the credit limit had been raised. This seemed to me to be a miracle, because now I had the money to pay for what was necessary.

The loan did not come through, but the situation was no longer dire. I want to thank Dora for this favor. I received the most important thing that I had asked for, which was to be able to pay for our rent, our food, and the salary of our maid, among other things. Thanks so much, and I will pray more, but now I will pray that Dora’s life be better known. Blessings.
